Highway cleanup is proceeding on Saturday in the Red Deer area after work was postponed due to rain last weekend.
Young Albertans from community and non-profit organizations will be collecting garbage along highway right-of-ways from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Motorists are urged to slow down, obey signs, and be on the lookout when passing participants wearing bright orange vests.
The annual highway cleanup is a fundraiser for groups and helps keep Alberta’s highways clean and safe.
