Two people have lost their home following a Wednesday morning fire in Lacombe County.
Fire chief Daryl Friesen said the Lacombe Fire Department responded to the fire just northeast of the city on Milton Road shortly after 9:30 a.m. Crews from Blackfalds and Clive also responded.
The blaze was contained to one end of the manufactured home, but the approximately 1,500-square-foot structure was damaged by heat and smoke.
“I don’t think it’s livable,” Friesen said.
The two individuals were able to safely exit the home and were not injured.
Friesen said the fire started in the bedroom area and was electrical related. He did not have a damage estimate.
It took crews about two hours to get the fire under control.
