Teddy bear picnic
Thursday’s the day the teddy bears have their picnic. It’s not quite in the woods and you don’t have to wear a disguise. From 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, the Dickson Store Museum will host a teddy bear picnic with crafts, games, music, prizes and brunch. People are invited to bring their own stuffed friends for a teddy bear hunt. Admission is $2 but space is limited, so people are asked to reserve their spots. Call 403-728-3355 for reservations and information.
Be sure to register in advance for the Dickson Store Museum teddy bear picnic because space is limited.
Sylvan talks to children
Who better to consult on a project for kids than the kids themselves? The Town of Sylvan Lake is doing its part by joining a national group, Let Them Be Kids, which helps communities build play structures for children. On Monday afternoon, Sylvan Lake will host a Let Them Be Kids Designer Day at the tot lot at 5218 48th Ave., near the RCMP detachment. The tot lot is slated for a major facelift, with the entire community invited to come and offer their thoughts from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Information on Let Them Be Kids is available online at www.ltbk.ca
