The other day I returned home from the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre after staying there three days post surgery.
Prior to my surgery, I was receiving a lot of warnings from people. Some people were warning me about the food, not to expect much. Others were warning me about the attention I would receive, saying that I shouldn’t expect to be too well taken care of.
After three days in the hospital, I have to say that those warnings were completely unnecessary. My surgery went fantastic, I had an amazing surgical team. Post surgery, I was extremely well taken care of.
Every person working in that hospital is friendly, attentive and does their job exceptionally well.
Oh, and the food was great, definitely nothing to complain about there either.
Red Deer and area residents should be very proud of the exceptional health-care system they have in the community.
Having just moved to the area six months ago, I am glad to know that if I ever need anything in the future health-care-wise, I will be in good hands.
