VALLEYVIEW — An American man has died after his motorcycle crashed into the back of a semi in northwestern Alberta.
Mounties say the motorcycle and the semi were both in the slow lane on Highway 43 when the motorcycle ran into the back of the semi.
Witnesses and other travellers on the highway stopped and provided first aid.
Larry (Doug) Rouse, 57, of Houston, was pronounced dead at Valleyview Hospital.
Police say Rouse was travelling with close friends also from Houston, who were in front of him on the highway.
The group had travelled from Houston to Anchorage and were on their home when the crash occurred.
