Human remains identified

Human remains found last month have been identified as those of an Edmonton woman who was reported missing 10 years ago.

EDMONTON — Human remains found last month have been identified as those of an Edmonton woman who was reported missing 10 years ago.

Edmonton’s medical examiner used dental records to determine that the skeletal remains are those of Jutta Bentz.

The remains were found on the western edge of Edmonton in early August.

Bentz, 27, was reported missing on Aug. 30, 2000.

The cause of her death is unknown.

Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone who may have any information about her disappearance
