Innisfail man charged in liquor store robbery

An Innisfail man has been arrested and charged with the robbery of a Red Deer liquor store.

An Innisfail man has been arrested and charged with the robbery of a Red Deer liquor store.

On Jan. 23 at approximately 7:15 p.m., a male suspect entered the Gaetz Avenue Liquor World, located at 3417-50th Ave. with a handgun. He demanded cash from the clerks and then fled.

Red Deer City RCMP have now charged Rory Alan Jackson, 46, with robbery, using a firearm in commission of an offence, use of disguise during commitment of an indictable offence and failure to comply with an undertaking.

Jackson remains in custody and will appear in Red Deer provincial court on Feb. 18.
