Innisfail man wins $100,000 on Extra draw

Floyd Wacker’s retirement nest egg received a $100,000 boost after purchasing a LOTTO 6/49 ticket from the Innisfail Royal Canadian Legion Branch for the Feb. 14 draw.

Floyd Wacker’s retirement nest egg received a $100,000 boost after purchasing a LOTTO 6/49 ticket from the Innisfail Royal Canadian Legion Branch for the Feb. 14 draw.

He returned several days later to check a few tickets and was quite surprised to find he had matched the last six digits of EXTRA to win the prize.

“I didn’t realize how many zeros there were until I gave the ticket to the retailer,” Wacker said in a press release.

His plans for the winnings are quite simple — he plans to pay some bills, possibly share with his family and to take a trip to P.E.I.

“The win is going to make retirement a whole lot easier,” he said.
