Investigation continues into death of young woman

Red Deer City RCMP continue to investigate “all avenues” of the homicide of 27-year-old Talia Nellie Meguinis, who is believed to have arrived in Red Deer by bus.

Red Deer City RCMP continue to investigate “all avenues” of the homicide of 27-year-old Talia Nellie Meguinis, who is believed to have arrived in Red Deer by bus.

“She arrived in Red Deer on Feb. 17 and was found on Feb. 22, so we are looking for anyone who may have had contact with her between those days,” Cpl. Kathe DeHeer said on Wednesday.

DeHeer says an investigator noted on Tuesday that Meguinis was believed to have travelled into the city by Greyhound bus. Where she was travelling from was not released.

The woman’s body was found in the Riverside Industrial Park in Red Deer on Feb. 22. Police have confirmed that the homicide of Meguinis did not occur at the location her body was found.
