A group that uses film, creativity and social action to end the use of child soldiers in Central Africa appears at the Red Deer College on Thursday.

Invisible Children is a nonprofit organization founded by American filmmakers Jason Russell, Bobby Bailey and Laren Poole. The group document the lives of those living in regions of conflict and injustice in the hopes of inspiring others to help make change.

The organization also runs scholarship programs, teacher exchanges and other fundraising campaigns.

Organized by the Education Undergrad Society, the evening starts with a viewing of Tony — Lose All, Gain Everything, the group’s latest documentary, and a guest speaker from Uganda.

The presentation begins on the Main Stage at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30. Admission is free.
