Is Native Friendship Centre site in flood plain?

OK! The silence is deafening. Not a word about the Native Friendship Centre since the floods last month.

Is the development still going ahead even though the provincial government has come out with a new set of rules regarding development on flood plains?

If the centre was already built when the floods came, and the city evacuated the entire river area including Lions campground and blocked all entry to the area with manned city trucks, who would be paying for the 32 families’ hotels, meals, and cleanup of their development?

The province is making it clear it will not be them.

As I said, the silence is deafening.
