EDMONTON — Head coach Chris Jones is taking many of his former Toronto Argonauts assistants with him to the Edmonton Eskimos.

Jones unveiled his staff Tuesday and included are four assistants he worked with last season with the Argos and another two who were associated with the franchise’s ’12 Grey Cup-winning squad. Jones took over as Edmonton’s coach after serving as Toronto’s defensive co-ordinator, assistant head coach and assistant GM in 2012-’13.

Steve McAddo, Toronto’s former offensive line coach, will serve as Edmonton’s offensive co-ordinator.

Jason Shivers, a defensive assistant last year with the Argos, is the Eskimos defensive backs coach while Ed Philion is the defensive line coach — a position he held in ’13 with the Double Blue.

Craig Davoren, a defensive assistant and quality control assistant the last two seasons with Toronto, is now an offensive assistant with the Eskimos.

Also joining Jones’ staff are Craig Dickenson (special-teams co-ordinator), Jarious Jackson (quarterbacks coach, passing game co-ordinator, player development) and Kez McCorvey (receivers coach). Jackson was a backup quarterback with Toronto’s 2012 Grey Cup squad while McCorvey was a receivers coach with that team as well.

Dickenson spent last season as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ special-teams co-ordinator. He held the same post the two previous years with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
