LANGLEY, B.C. — Mitch Kalan led a trio of Red Deer Exelta Gymnastics Club athletes at the Western Canadian Artistic Championships during the weekend.
Kalan placed 10th all round in the level 4 men’s division while finishing fifth on the parallel bars, sixth on the pommel horse, 11th on the floor and 14th on the high bar.
In the individual finals, he was second on the bars and third on the horse.
Meanwhile, Hannah Bilsborrow was 14th in the provincial 5 open category and Kaelan Hayter 19th in the national open women’s competition.
Bilsborrow placed fifth on the vault and 11th on the beam and floor. She also was fifth on the vault in the event final.
Hayter had a 14th on the floor.
