A Lacombe man facing 30 charges, including aggravated assault, will remain in jail for at least another week.

Ryan Hackney, 23, of Lacombe reserved his plea on the numerous charges until Nov. 10 when he appeared on closed-circuit court television on Thursday.

Hackney was charged with allegedly going on a five-day crime spree resulting in an estimated $20,000 in damages in early October in Lacombe.

Hackney faces charges of aggravated assault, unlawful confinement, uttering threats, obstructing a peace officer and breaching a probation order twice. He also faces 18 charges of mischief in connection with a window-breaking spree.

Lacombe Police Service said earlier that 17 vehicle windows and one house window were broken with large stones during a five-day period beginning in Lacombe.

The suspect was brought to police attention after he allegedly assaulted an individual and left the scene, Lacombe police said earlier.
