Lacombe is scheduled for a face lift on Thursday.

Residents are invited to take just 29 minutes out of their day to clean up garbage and winter debris leftover in their yards and on the streets of Lacombe.

Lacombe’s community-wide 20 minute makeover will run from 2 to 2:20 p.m. It’s part of the 45th Annual Pitch-In Canada Week, which takes place across the country from April 23 to 30.

A limited quality of official Pitch-In bags will be available at City Hall. Extra garbage bins will also be on hand at Michener Park, the arena parking lot and Wolf Creek Drive Recycle Depot.

The Pitch-In Week campaign sees over three million Canadians participate every year and has become the largest environmental action program in Canada.
