Lacombe has undertaken a major project this year to boost the capacity of its storm water system after heavy rains led to flooding in recent years.

The latest round of work involves placing a 1.2-metre pipe under Hwy 2A and the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks to a drainage ditch on the east side. It is expected to be completed by mid-November.
