The Hunting Hills senior girls swept the H.J. Cody Lakers of Sylvan Lake in three sets at Hunting Hills High School on Tuesday in Central Alberta High School Volleyball League action.
The Lightning took the match 25-17, 25-18, 25-21
In other action the Lindsey Thurber Raiders senior girls beat West Central of Rocky Mountain House 25-, 25-11, 25-12. McKenna Barthel was named player of the match for LTHS while Sarah Walton took the honour for West Central.
Ponoka also topped Stettler 25-17, 25-22, 25-20.
• In girls JV action, Hunting Hills beat Sylvan Lake 3-0, winning by scores of 25-9, 25-10, 25-11.
Elsewhere, visiting Notre Dame swept the Innisfail Cyclones 3-0, prevailing 25-8, 25-11, 25-11. Megan Hansen was the Cougars’ player of the game while Rael Blain earned similar honours for the Cyclones.
Also Tuesday the LTHS beat West Central 25-13, 25-23, 25-16 and Ponoka beat Stettler 25-19,m 25-18, 25-21.
