The Hunting Hills Lightning recorded their first-ever victory over the Lindsay Thurber Raiders in Central Alberta Junior Varsity Girls’ Basketball League play Wednesday.
The Lightning took the lead in the third quarter and went on to a 43-35 victory as Jaden Robinson, Reagan Booth and Emily Eisenhawer had 10 points each. Melissa Brouwer added 11 rebounds.
Kennedy Graham had 16 points for the Raiders.
In boys’ action, the Raiders recorded a 78-74 victory over the Lightning.
Chris Petersen had 22 points and Mitch Morrison 19 in a losing cause.
