Two Red Deer teams advanced to the semifinals of the Central Bantam Football League Saturday.

Both the Lindsay Thurber Jr. Raiders and the Hunting Hills Jr. Lightning recorded 49-0 victories — the Raiders over the Drumheller Titans and the Lightning over the Sylvan Lake Lions.

Linden Peterson led the Lightning with three touchdowns and kicked four two-point converts. Jin Ahn, Kade Damant, Cody Pratt and Brandt Burzuk added touchdowns for the Lightning while Austin Littman had a one-point convert.

In other quarter-finals the Lacombe Raiders downed the Olds Bulldogs 22-7 and the Springbank Phoenix stopped the Rocky Mountain House Jr. Rebels 22-8.

LTCHS takes on Lacombe and the Lightning meets Springbank in the semifinals Saturday.

Peewee

In Central Peewee Football League action, the Red Deer Steelers downed the Olds Huskies 52-25, the Stettler Panthers dropped the Wetaskiwin Wildcats 50-6 and the Strathmore Spartans defeated the Sylvan Lake Bears 40-0.

In Tier III semifinal play Saturday Innisfail takes on Stettler and Strathmore meets the Steelers.

In Tier IV semifinal action Lacombe meets the Red Deer Hornets and Wetaskiwin clashes with Olds.
