The Sylvan Lake Lions got on the win column in the bantam division of the Central Football League with a 46-0 win over the Innisfail Cyclones Saturday.

The Lions sit with a 1-2 record while the Cyclones are 0-2.

Shon Zenert scored five touchdowns for the Lions on runs of nine, 40, 28, nine and 22 yards while Brian Vaillancourt added five two-point converts. Keagan Tait had their final touchdown on a two-yard run.

Meanwhile, the Olds Bulldogs ran their record to 2-1 with a 41-0 win over the Rocky Mountain House Rebels, who dropped to 2-1.

Quade Smith scored touchdowns on a 35-yard pass and an 83-yard run to go with four two-point converts. Roger Dye scored on runs of three and 90 yards and Nick Greene scored on a one-yard plunge. Tyler Smith kicked a single with the Bulldogs final points coming on a safety.

Meanwhile the Hunting Hills Lightning downed the Notre Dame Cougars 22-8 and the Lacombe Raiders beat the Wetaskiwin Warriors 54-0 to run their records to 2-0.

The Drumheller Titans whipped the Strathmore Spartans 77-0 and the Springbank Phoenix edged the Stettler Cougars 12-8.

Peewee

The two Red Deer teams hooked up Saturday at Great Chief Park with the Hornets downing the Steelers 48-36.

In other action, the Stettler Panthers beat the Sylvan Lake Bears 24-0, the Lacombe Explosion downed the Olds Huskies 39-0 and the Strathmore Spartans defeated the Wetaskiwin Wildcats 27-0.

Atom

The league opened play Saturday at Lindsay Thurber with the Gord Scott Silver Bullets winning a pair of games.

The Bullets downed the Lacombe Black and the Hornets.

The Black Bears earned ties against the Coke Crunch and the Lacombe Red while the Crunch downed the Lacombe Black and the Lacombe Red stopped the Hornets.
