Kwas signs with Alaska Anchorage
Olds Grizzlys forward Jordan Kwas has committed to attend the University of Alaska Anchorage on an NCAA hockey scholarship.
Kwas, from Cochrane, will join the Seawolves for the 2010-2011 season. He played three seasons with the Alberta Junior Hockey League Grizzlys and was the team’s leading scoring — with 21 goals and 66 points — and most valuable player in 2009-10.
Kambeitz eight points downs HSE
Jared Kambietz scored five goals and added three assists in leading Boston Pizza past HSE 8-2 in ball hockey action Thursday night.
In other action Brett Pritz scored three goals and three assists as Bo’s shutout Onside Restoration 9-0.
Just Cuts/Blarney Stone also registered a shutout, blanking OJ’s 3-0 with Pat Campbell scoring once and adding two assists.
The Wild, meanwhile, feasted on Little Ceasars 10-1 with Joe Thalen registering the hat trick for the Wild.
To round out the games the Eh Team beat the Canadiens 2-1 and the Sharks beat the Raiders 4-2 — full stats were not available at press time.
