Dusk, June 04, twenty fourteen

Seven thirty, Atlantic time

In the town of Moncton NB

A revengeful, hateful crime

Intersections are roped off

A town “lockdown” they said

Five Mounties have been shot

Three of these members dead

Thoughts and prayers

Immediately

Are sent to the families

Of the RCMP

High-powered rifle in his hand

A cross bow on his frame

A mission now in camouflage

Rambo, is his game

Posted on his facebook

Infatuation does concede

Hatred born for authority

Disdain for RCMP

Hook in Mouth by Megadeth

Dark, destructive mystery

A little man, with a big eraser

Changing history

In the line of duty

A badge of honour worn

To serve and protect their country

To God their oath is sworn

Tragedy and darkness

On the history of the force

The flags are flown half mast

For the fallen, there’s remorse

There is no greater love

Nor will there ever be

A man will sacrifice his life

A recruit of the RCMP

With love and respect

In deepest sympathy
