Josil Cabuhat, 32, was arrested on June 20 on charges including fraud, passing false documents, possession of goods obtained through crime and possession of methamphetamine.

Represented by defence counsel Molly McVey, Cabuhat attended Red Deer provincial court on Friday to enter his plea.

However, the plea was reserved when it was announced in court that Crown prosecutor Anthony Pingatore had just been appointed to the file.

Pingatore said he is prepared to enter plea negotiations with McVey but needs time to review the file.

Cabuhat is to return to court on Nov. 12 to enter his plea.
