EDMONTON — Police say a 24-year old male has been charged after an attack on an Edmonton transit bus driver.

Officers say the driver and a man got into an argument just before midnight Sunday over the fare.

The male left the scene on foot and constables arrested a suspect a few blocks away.

The driver, who is in his mid 50s, was taken to hospital as a precaution. Mitchell Andrew Tourangeau, who is 24, is charged with assault.

It is the third attack on an Edmonton bus driver in about a month.
