The Stettler man charged in relation to a motor vehicle crash in which a teenaged girl was killed has reserved his plea to May 24.

The Stettler man charged in relation to a motor vehicle crash in which a teenaged girl was killed has reserved his plea to May 24.

Trevor James Dahl, 19, reserved his plea in Stettler provincial court on Thursday to answer charges of impaired driving causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and refusing to provide a breath sample after a fatal collision.

The charges stem from a single-vehicle crash near Erskine on Feb 11, in which Stettler RCMP allege that a pickup truck travelling on a gravel road hit the ditch and crashed into some trees.

Passenger Koralea Boettger, 17, died at the scene.

Dahl was released from custody on March 7.

He is to return to court in Stettler on May 24.
