BRETON — An Alberta man has been released from hospital and arrested on several charges following a shootout with RCMP.

Bradley Wayne Beaver, who is 38, faces three counts of attempted murder, two counts of endangering the life of a peace officer and several counts on weapons offences.

An RCMP emergency response team from Red Deer was called to a mobile home last weekend near Breton, southwest of Edmonton, following a report that a man had been shot.

A Red Deer corporal suffered superficial wounds to his hand and shoulder, and is recovering at home.

Another Red Deer officer, a staff sergeant with more than 30 years of experience had surgery to remove a bullet from his shoulder and was to be released from hospital Thursday.

A woman in the home, who was also shot but not seriously injured, was interviewed by police and released.
