Mounties say the got a call on the weekend about three men in a canoe in distress on Nipisi Lake, about 70 kilometres north of Slave Lake.

The lake is accessible only by ATV.

Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development sent three helicopters to the lake and found the men, who police say are from Edmonton.
