MEDICINE HAT — A man arrested after a teenage girl was confronted in a southern Alberta home faces 27 charges — some of which go back to 2008.
Police in Medicine Hat say Shaun Desrussieaux has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault and wearing a disguise during an offence.
He was picked up last week after someone broke into a house in Medicine Hat and demanded a sexual act from a teen girl.
Her mother intervened and the suspect fled.
Sgt. Harley Kesler says police are reviewing all their open sex assault files.
Desrussieaux, 32, is to be back in court Thursday.
