A man facing numerous drug and weapons charges reserved his plea until next month when he appeared in court on Monday.

Jason Sagal, 38, of Red Deer had the charges reserved until Dec. 1 following a brief closed circuit TV appearance in provincial court.

RCMP made a bust at a rural property in late October and arrested a man a few days later after seizing weapons and drugs.

Sagal, who has been denied bail, is charged with three counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon, three counts of careless storage of a firearm, assault, uttering threats, possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Police were first alerted to an incident by a woman. The 26-year-old woman alleged that the man was threatening her. She told police that the suspect had access to weapons and she feared for her safety.

Investigation revealed the suspect was prohibited from possessing weapons.

Police then executed a search warrant and located three rifles, three pellet guns, two crossbows, one bow, a quantity of edged weapons, a quantity of ammunition and 7.65 kg of marijuana.
