A Central Alberta man made his first appearance through his lawyer in Red Deer court on Tuesday on 33-year-old sex-assault related charges.

Mark Archibald, 56, reserved his plea through his lawyer Kevin Sproule on three charges each of indecent assault and gross indecency.

The accused, who wasn’t present, returns to court on Nov. 8 to enter a plea.

The assaults are all alleged to have occurred against males who were younger than the accused at the time.

The accused who was about 23 at the time of the alleged incidents, is charged with incidents between Jan. 1, 1978, and Dec. 31, 1979.

All but one of the incidents is alleged to have occurred near Calgary while the other was near Gull Lake, provincial court heard.
