CALGARY — Calgary police have laid charges after a man was robbed and assaulted in a fake taxi.
A man left a bar on Nov. 20 and hailed what he thought was a cab.
A white minivan pulled over and the man was allegedly forced in, held face-down, beaten, threatened and robbed of his bank card and its personal identification number.
He was dropped off in an alley without his shoes.
Conrad Joey Lauzon is charged with assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, robbery and uttering threats.
Police are still looking for a man and woman allegedly involved in the incident.
