OKOTOKS — A man is recovering from serious leg injuries after falling beneath the wheels of a combine that was harvesting a field of canola south of Calgary.
RCMP say the accident happened Monday near Okotoks when the 22-year-old man lost his grip on the moving combine while trying to collect a sample of grain.
The driver of the machine tried to grab him by the hand but failed and the victim fell under the wheels.
He was was airlifted to a Calgary hospital.
Police say the man was in stable condition at the accident scene.
