STRATHMORE — Mounties are investigating after a man walking on the Trans-Canada Highway east of Calgary was killed after being hit by three separate vehicles.

RCMP say the man was first struck while he was walking near Highway 24, near Strathmore.

The driver of a semi truck contacted 911 and stayed on the scene.

While waiting for emergency vehicles, the man was hit by two other vehicles — a van and a pickup.

The van’s driver pulled over and waited for police, but the driver of a pickup left the scene.

RCMP are asking the driver of the pickup to call them.
