A man wanted on a Canada-wide search for being unlawfully at large was arrested on Friday in Red Deer.

A man wanted on a Canada-wide search for being unlawfully at large was arrested on Friday in Red Deer.

Sean Aldridge was arrested without incident at a home in the 3400 block of 52nd Avenue.

A nationwide warrant for Aldridge was issued in July for parole violations. Aldridge was on statutory release and was considered unlawfully at large.

Prior to his release, he had been serving a two-year, 10-month and 30-day sentence for break and enter/commit theft, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and obstructing a peace officer.

Aldridge has a lengthy and uninterrupted criminal history dating back to 1997 that consists of property-related convictions.
