A man who was serving as a corporal with the Alberta RCMP has been charged with seven criminal offences following a investigation into a family fight.

EDMONTON — A man who was serving as a corporal with the Alberta RCMP has been charged with seven criminal offences following a investigation into a family fight.

Kelly Gulaga faces five counts of assault, one of forcible confinement and one firearms offence.

The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team says it began conducting the investigation in July.

ASIRT says Gulaga appeared in St. Albert provincial court on Monday and was released with conditions.

RCMP were not immediately available for comment on what Gulaga’s status is with the Mounties.
