CALGARY — Technical experts with the Calgary Police Service are trying to recover deleted photos on a camera’s memory card after a man allegedly tried to take pictures of boys in a shopping mall washroom.
The suspect was seen following the boys into a washroom near Chinook Centre’s food court on Saturday afternoon.
A witness sitting in the area saw the man going in and out of a bathroom several times and noticed he seemed to go in at the same time as young boys.
The bystander followed the man and saw him slide a camera under the door of an occupied stall.
The witness called mall security and a police officer stationed inside the mall and they arrested a suspect outside the washroom.
Insp. Rob Williams said the suspect may have deleted some of the photos from his camera.
