EDMONTON — Police officers who were called to a downtown Edmonton mall after a man was spotted carrying a handgun made a quick arrest.
Police say a shopper at City Centre Mall called 911 Monday afternoon.
Constables located a suspect near a fitness club, but he tried to flee and fell down an escalator to the main floor.
The two officers were able to gain control of him and took him into custody.
A handgun was found along with ammunition.
Kyle Rodney Hunter, who is 22, is charged with several weapons offences.
