The Red Deer Marlins Swim Club placed fourth in the team competition at the Calgary Swordfish Invitational meet during the weekend.
The club had three first-place finishers in Claire Halford, Ryan Mah and Erin Williams.
Halford won the 11-12 year-old girls’ 50-metre breaststroke while Mah captured the 13-14 year-old boys’ 50m butterfly and Williams the 15-17 year-old girls’ 50m butterfly.

Hayden Bettenson, six-and-under 25m free; Lauren Bettenson, 9-10 girls’ 25m back; Cale Kooyman, 11-12 boys’ 50m breast; Emily Unrau, 11-12 girls’ 50m back.

Liam Stalwick, 11-12 boys’ fly; Hanna Mateika, six-and-under girls’ back.

Matthew Hansen, six-and-under boys’ 25m back; Frances Hansen, eight-and-under girls’ 25m back.
Fifth
Jelena Snydal, eight-and-under girls’ 25m breast; Owen Halford, eight-and-under boys’ 25m breast; Delaney Lehman, eight-and-under girls’ 25m free.
