A Maskwacis-area man awaiting trial for second-degree murder was arrested in the Red Deer area on Thursday under allegations that he had breached bail conditions.

A Maskwacis-area man awaiting trial for second-degree murder was arrested in the Red Deer area on Thursday under allegations that he had breached bail conditions.

Lindsey Allen Bruno, 21, is set for trial in Wetaskiwin Court of Queen’s Bench next February, accused of killing Samson First Nation member Levonne Baptiste, 16, on Feb. 2, 2013.

An RCMP officer brought Bruno into Red Deer provincial court on Friday and he was remanded into custody by Judge Jim Mitchell on two counts of breaching release conditions. Details of the breaches were not read in court.

Bruno ha a bail hearing in Wetaskiwin on Tuesday.
