Medicine Hat vice-principal sentenced jailed for distributing child porn

A former vice-principal of an elementary school in southern Alberta has been sentenced to 15 months in jail for accessing and distributing child pornography.

MEDICINE HAT — A former vice-principal of an elementary school in southern Alberta has been sentenced to 15 months in jail for accessing and distributing child pornography.

Gregory Fritzke was also prohibited from owning a computer for two years.

Fritzke was the vice-principal at Ross Glen Elementary School in Medicine Hat.

Fritzke pleaded guilty in the summer and was charged in January 2009.

His arrest was part of a larger investigation that involved the National Child Exploitation Co-ordination Centre in Ottawa and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
