Mental health group offering course

An eight-week course aimed at helping people who feel lonely or isolated to learn and practise skills that help make and keep friends is being offered by the Canadian Mental Health Association in Red Deer.

An eight-week course aimed at helping people who feel lonely or isolated to learn and practise skills that help make and keep friends is being offered by the Canadian Mental Health Association in Red Deer. The Art of Friendship, for people who have a tough time making friends for whatever reason, starts on March 5 and runs weekly through April 23, with both evening and daytime course offerings. One course goes from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays starting on March 5 at the CMHA Red Deer office, at 5017 50th Ave. The other takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursdays, starting March 6 at the Dawe Branch of the Red Deer Public Library, at 56 Holt St. For more information, call the CMHA at 403-342-2266. There is a $25 fee for the course and financial assistance may be available for people with limited incomes.
