The Red Deer Elks got goals from Tanner Lomsnes, Brock Forbes, Dion Daoust and Justin Moltzahn in a 4-2 AA weekend win over the Cranbrook Ice. Dasan Sydora was the winning goalie.

• In minor AAA play, Kale Lapointe and Dustin Gorgi each scored twice as the Red Deer Iroc Chiefs doubled the visiting Calgary Gold 6-3.

Also scoring for the Chiefs were Quinn Brown and Kirk Johnson, while Matt Zentner made 26 saves.

• In midget A-plus action, Red Deer Prairie Bus Lines dropped just its second game of the season, 3-1 to Castor.

Tanner MacArthur potted the lone for Prairie, while losing netminder Nicholas Galenzoski made 37 saves.

Bantam

Chad Gross, Tanner Sincennes and Braydon Baker scored for the Red Deer Ramada Chiefs in a 3-3 AA tie with the host Taber Golden Suns.

Ramada netminder Carson Franks stopped 27 shots.

Ramada also topped the host Medicine Hat Venom 4-3, as Kyle Rideout notched two goals — including the winner — and Gross and Matthew Thiessen also tallied. Jordan Legge made 27 saves for the Chiefs.

The Red Deer Servus Credit Union Stars downed the Thorhilf Titans 5-4 following a shootout to win gold in the B division in the Crossfield tournament.,

The Stars won the shootout 2-1.
