Major Bantam

Quentin Greenwood, Luke Coleman and Chase Olsen provided the goals and Brody Dirk stopped all 21 shots he faced as the Red Deer Rebels White beat the Red Deer Rebels Black 3-0 on Sunday at the Arena.

Rebels Black netminder Carson Franks made 29 saves.

On Saturday, the Rebels White downed the visiting Calgary Bisons 4-1 and the host Rebels Black battled Airdrie to a 4-4 draw.

Mack Differenz potted two goals for the Rebels White, who got singles from Olsen and Brad Makofka. Branden Bilodeau made 27 saves for the win.

The Rebels Black got two tallies from Layne Bensmiller and singles off the sticks of Chad Gross and Cole Kapak. Cole Sears stopped 33 shots for Red Deer.


Minor midget AAA

Jayden Sittler made 21 saves and the Red Deer North Star Chiefs employed a balanced attack in a 5-1 weekend win over the host Calgary Rangers.

Scoring for Red Deer were Chris Gerrie, James Gaume, Allan Pruss, Logan Hermus and Mik Doell.

North Star also downed the Rockyview Raiders 5-4 as Gaume tallied twice and Doell, Gerrie and Jordan Steenbergen also connected. Rylan Bardick made 17 saves for the win.

Meanwhile, the Red Deer IROC Chiefs cruised past the Calgary Blazers 6-0, getting a 21-save shutout performance from Joseph Desrosiers and three goals courtesy of Dylan Houston.

Also connecting for IROC were Justin Van Tetering, Jordie Lawson and Trey DeGraaf.


Major Midget Girls

The Red Deer Sutter Fund Chiefs racked up a pair of weekend home-ice wins, blanking Sherwood Park 4-0 and slipping past the Calgary Flyers 4-3.

Megan Kirkland recorded the shutout versus Sherwood Park, stopping 19 shots. Taylor Hall, Rikki Leonard, Krista Wilson and Reanna Arnold scored for Red Deer.

Ashley Graf notched two goals against the Flyers. Taryn Baumgardt and Hannah Mousek each had a goal for the winners, while Jennifer West made 23 saves.


Midget AA

The Red Deer Pro Stitch Chiefs took top A-side consolation honours in the BHA Challenge Cup tournament at Banff, defeating the St. Albert Crusaders 8-3 in the championship final.

The Chiefs opened with a 4-2 loss to the Edmonton Maple Leafs, then downed the Spokane Jr. Chiefs 6-4 to earn a spot in the final.


Bantam AA

Caden Shybunka tallied twice to pace the Red Deer Ramada Inn Chiefs to a 7-1 win over Brooks.

Declan Johnston, Gabe Galye, Lane Sim, Keagan Kingwell and Nick Knezacek also scored for the Chiefs.


Bantam A

Justin Anderson and Beau Aubin scored for Red Deer Frontier Bus Lines in a 2-2 tie with the Olds Elks.

Frontier also dropped a 12-0 decision to Stettler Scotiabank.
