Bantam

Jesse Freeborn tallied twice for the Red Deer Rebels White in a 5-3 Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League win over the Camrose Vikings Sunday at the Arena.

Chase Olsen, Kale Howarth and Mack Differenz also scored for the Rebels White, who got a 35-save effort from Branden Bilodeau.

The Rebels White fell 2-1 to the host Calgary Royals Saturday, their lone goal scored by Andrew Kartusch. Brody Dirk made 25 saves in a losing cause.

Meanwhile, the Red Deer Rebels Black, with Tyler Graber notching a pair of goals, managed a 2-2 tie with visiting Lethbridge Saturday. Rebels Black netminder Cole Sears turned aside 25 shots.

Minor Midget AAA

The Red Deer Northstar Chiefs downed the KC Centennials 4-2 in exhibition play.

Kaleb Denham scored twice and Justin Alcorn and Chase Thudium once each for the Chiefs.

Midget AA

The Red Deer Pro-Stitch Chiefs won a pair of weekend games, downing the Taber Golden Suns 8-7 Sunday and the Bow Valley Timberwolves 6-2 Saturday.

Jack Goranson had three goals against Taber, with Chris Rauchman adding two goals and three assists and Kyle Kapalka, Jaye Sutherland and Adam Ferguson one goal each. Cole Visser added three helpers and Brady Nydokus picked up the win in goal.

On Saturday, Rauchman and Goranson had two goals each and Eric Moltzahn and Kane Weik one apiece. Nick Galenzoski made 20 saves in goal.

Bantam AA

The Red Deer Ramada Chiefs dropped a pair of games, 5-2 to the Airdrie Lightning and 7-1 to the Lethbridge Raiders.

Lane Sim and Andrew Davis scored against the Lightning and Ryan Vandervlis against the Raiders.

Bantam A

Red Deer Frontier Bus Lines split four games in the Stettler tournament during the weekend.

They beat the Strathcona Warriors 10-2 and 7-0, while losing 3-1 to the Stettler A Guns and 6-2 to Athabasca.

Curtis Hallman had four goals and an assist against Strathcona, while Braden Olson and Carson Stuve added two goals each and Kody Kapalka, who had a pair of helpers, and Tristyn Zarubiak one goal apiece.

Darren Dejardins, Kody Knash and Brad Penney each had two assists.

Olsen and Bronson Spearing each had two goals in the second win over Strathcona, while Dejardins and Zarubiak added single markers and Stuve three assists and Samuel Danchek two.

Stuve scored against Stettler and Carter Bennett and Olsen against Athabasca.

Atom A

The Red Deer Motors defeated Bashaw 6-3 Saturday.

Quinn Tomalty scored two goals with singles added by Jacob Hicks, Mark Janes, Keaton Whitbread and Kyle Gladney.
