CALGARY — With the help of Google, Calgary Police have located two teenagers missing from Texas in a big white pickup truck containing loaded firearms.

Police say the 17-year-old youth and a 14-year-old girl were reported missing to the Comal County Sheriff’s Office and the Universal City Police on Oct. 4.

Someone in Calgary phoned police Wednesday morning after seeing a truck with Texas licence plates at an industrial park.

The dispatcher typed the licence plate information into Google and discovered it was linked to the two missing teens.

Police took the teens into custody and seized three loaded handguns and two rifles from the truck.

Canadian Border Services officials and police are trying to figure out how the pair made it across the border undetected.
