EDMONTON — More crews are joining the battle to snuff out wildfires in north-central Alberta.
Wildfire information officer Geoffrey Driscoll with Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resources Development says the extra manpower will go to fight a fire about 15 kilometres north of Bonnyville.
As well, there will be reinforcements for crews attacking a blaze 17 kilometres northwest of Grassland, between Athabasca and Lac la Biche.
Driscoll says a forest fire just 6 1/2 kilometres northeast of Lodgepole is 85 per cent contained.
Warm, dry weather is forecast for the next few days.
