AIRDRIE — Mounties have arrested a woman wanted by U.S. authorities for allegedly trafficking narcotics in Louisiana.
Calgary RCMP located and arrested Lisa O’Dale, 56, on an outstanding warrant last week.
Police were notified by the FBI and the U.S. government that O’Dale was likely living in Airdrie, a community just north of Calgary.
She is alleged to have trafficked large quantities of drugs in Louisiana and fleeing to Canada in 2009 while awaiting a court date.
O’Dale will be brought before a judge in Calgary and faces extradition.
