Museum plan to be revealed next week

Designers will unveil their plans next week for a $1.5-million permanent exhibit at the Red Deer Museum and Art Gallery.

Plans were announced earlier this month for a permanent exhibit to occupy about half of the museum’s exhibit space.

Planning for the project has been underway for the past two years, with a goal of having the exhibit ready to open in March 2013 as a kickoff to Red Deer’s centennial celebrations.

The museum has hired award winning design firm Reich & Petch of Toronto, who will present the concept its team has created during an open house at the museum, 4525 47A Ave., on Wednesday.

Doors are open from 6:30 to 9 p.m. with a presentation at 7. Light refreshments will be served.
