Murray Snyder (letters, April 2) celebrates the fact that 49 former employees of NASA have written a letter to their former boss, asking it to cease and desist on its inconvenient climate science research.
That might sound like a lot, until you look at the list. About half of them are administrators, and only eight are former astronauts. Eight might still sound like a lot, until you consider that there are 186 living, retired, American astronauts.
So that works out to just over four per cent of the retired astronauts. Even that might be impressive, until you consider that none of the eight (or the 49, for that matter) have ever done any research in the area of climate science.
