Not a strong scientific endorsement

That might sound like a lot, until you look at the list. About half of them are administrators, and only eight are former astronauts. Eight might still sound like a lot, until you consider that there are 186 living, retired, American astronauts.

So that works out to just over four per cent of the retired astronauts. Even that might be impressive, until you consider that none of the eight (or the 49, for that matter) have ever done any research in the area of climate science.
