Numrich finishes second in category at MLJT stop in Olds

Grant Numrich of Red Deer posted a 36-hole score of 155 to finish second in the juvenile boys category of the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour’s Mountain View Credit Union Classic at Olds during the weekend.

Numrich, who recorded rounds of 77-78, finished three strokes back of juvenile winner AJ Armstrong of St. Albert (76-76—152).

Jaxon Lynn of Sylvan Lake placed fourth at 168 (90-78), while Ryan Morrell of Red Deer was 15th at 178 (84-94).

Jeremy Rietze of Lacombe finished sixth in the junior boys division with a 161 total that included rounds of 79-82. Innisfail’s Mike Lougheed was eighth (87-82—169) and Andrew Marsden of Sundre was 12th (96-98—194).

Lacombe’s Chase Broderson placed 21st in the bantam boys division with a 183 total (91-92).
